Kirsty's Natural Bird Toys provides a range of safe toys available using natural pods like gumnuts, casuarina nuts, pinecones and pieces of paperbark and bottlebrush branches, as well as manufactured toy parts like beads, birdy bagels and twineballs. All natural items are disinfected and dried safely before use to eliminate risk of disease from wild birds.
As a veterinary nurse and keeper of a variety of parrots for 10 years, Kirsty knows about toy safety and brings her own experience with her pet parrots to provide toys that will be chewed and used.
While Kirsty's own birds do not play a part in making the toys, rest assured that they are examined by an avian vet regularly, tested for common diseases and wormed regularly. This means that the toys are free from 'contamination'.
Kirsty's toys have been tested on her own birds: Conures, Cockatiels, a Quaker, Corella and a Lorikeet as well as birds owned by friends and family: Galahs, a Major Mitchell, Alexandrine and a Black Cockatoo.
Please note that Kirsty's Natural Bird Toys is a home business and does not have a shop front. Most orders are posted but can be picked up from Brisbane's northside by prior arrangement.
